Quinnipiac University's School of Nursing invites applications for an Innovations Program Manager. This position is an integral member of the nursing team and reports directly to the School of Nursing Dean. The position is responsible for managing the growth and maintenance of innovative programs including staff and student support, enrollment, outcomes management, and student mentoring for the School's CT Health Horizons Grant. The program manager closely collaborates with Deans, Chairs, Program Directors, and Faculty while planning, implementing, and evaluating the student pipeline into the health care workforce with our Hartford Healthcare (HHC) partners.

Responsibilities: |
- Coordinates the CT Health Horizons Grant for the School of Nursing
- Oversees the QU/HHC collaborative as it relates to the healthcare workforce pipeline initiatives
- Ensures that the recruitment, enrollment, support and success of students in pipeline programs is achieved and maintained
- Collaborates with HHC partners to identify specific workforce need areas and direct students into areas of need
- Serve as an instructor in the programs as needed
- Serves as the repository of all data surrounding this program and manages program outcomes
- Mentors students and facilitates their transition to their professional new graduate nurse roles
- Performs detailed tracking of students to program completion and then to professional health care roles, including site location, unit and specialty
- Represent the School of Nursing’s strategic initiatives, mission, vision, and values
- Collaborate with dean’s office staff, program chair and director regarding student engagement and success in innovative program
- Adapt and develop as an Innovative Programs Manager in response to the dynamic nature of nursing education and patient care roles
- Completes other projects as assigned

Education Requirements: |
- Master’s degree in Nursing or relevant field
- Registered Nurse- unencumbered license in Connecticut
|
Qualifications: |
- Experience working in nursing education
- Demonstrated history of collaborative work within a team environment
- Familiarity with registered nurse program curricula
- Familiarity with training requirements and curricula for certified nurses’ aides and patient care associates preferred
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently
- Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
- Customer service mindset
- Proficient use of computer and database type software
- Ability to problem-solve
