Quinnipiac University's School of Computing and Engineering seeks a Manager of Administrative Operations & Strategic Initatives. The School is in a growth phase and is seeking a manager who will help this growth strategically, and manage inter-department projects and engage with external partners to diversify revenue stream. |

Responsibilities: |

Supports the dean on developing strategic initiatives
-
Assists with operationalizing strategic and tactical initiatives by the dean
-
Manages a broad range of high-level, inter-department projects

Prepares or assists in the preparation of written documents such as program proposals, reviews and reports

Takes responsibility/lead positions for special programs or projects as assigned

Gathers background information for meetings and researches key policy/program matters for use by the dean; keeps informed of applicable policies, procedures and regulations that may have an impact on the school and/or dean's office

Researches and prepares data and presentations for the dean and the provost’s office such as data enrolment planning and budgeting

Creates, coordinates, and finalizes various internal and/or external communication, including emails, on behalf of the dean

Develops and/or presents information during various meetings with Dean, Associate Dean, and Program Directors and confers with them during various processes

Assists with and attends key SCE events like hard hat (student recognition) and projects day ceremonies, as needed

Assists with coordination and planning of SCE retreats and Program Directors’ Council meetings

Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by the Dean

Education Requirements: |
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
|
Qualifications: |
- Minimum 5 years of experience with strategic planning and/or program development
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of office systems and ability to use broad range of technology, systems, and software packages
- Ability to solve a wide range of problems, developing thoughtful and thorough solutions, and using effective communication and listening skills
- Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to connect with a wide range of community members across the university
- Demonstrated competency in independently applying judgement and nonstandard applications and systems
- Experience in higher education administration
