Overview:

Quinnipiac University invites applications for the Director of Women's Ice Hockey Player Development and Operations position. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to academic integrity and full compliance with University, ECAC Hockey, and NCAA regulations.

The successful candidate will coordinate and manage all travel accommodations and transportation logistics for the women’s ice hockey program, ensuring seamless execution of team travel. This role also plays a key part in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes by creating and implementing both individual and team growth strategies. Additionally, the position leads community engagement efforts by initiating and organizing meaningful service opportunities that reflect the program’s values and commitment to outreach

Responsibilities:
  • Upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and ensures full compliance with all University, ECAC Hockey, and NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Manages all aspects of program video, including production, collection, editing, and analysis; collaborates with coaching staff to evaluate team and opponent footage in support of game strategy development.

  • Oversees team travel logistics, including transportation, lodging, meals, and itinerary coordination.

  • Designs and implements individualized development plans to support student-athletes' academic progress and personal growth.

  • In partnership with sports performance and sports medicine staff, develops and monitors training and conditioning programs to optimize individual and team performance.

  • Supports all aspects of the recruiting process, including reviewing documentation, communicating with prospects, and assisting with recruiting operations in accordance with NCAA Bylaw 11.7.2.

  • Maintains and updates statistical records and reports throughout the season.

  • Provides support on game days, including coordination of team ticket lists, meals, and supervision of student managers.

  • Assists with special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the coaching staff.

  • Organizes and participates in team community service initiatives.

  • Provides recruiting support as needed, including potential travel.

  • Leads on-ice individual and group skill instruction.

  • Assists with practice coaching as directed by the coaching staff.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated commitment to academic integrity and adherence to University, ECAC Hockey, and NCAA compliance standards.

  • Proficient in video operations, including production, editing, and analysis, with experience in using film to develop strategic game plans.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex team travel logistics (transportation, lodging, meals, itineraries).

  • Experience designing and executing individualized development plans to support student-athlete academic and personal growth.

  • Knowledge of athletic training methodologies; works effectively with performance and medical staff to implement conditioning programs

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
