||Quinnipiac University's School of Engineering seeks highly qualified applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching for part-time faculty openings in Mechanical Engineering for the Fall 2021 semester, and beyond. The school is experiencing steady enrollment growth and desires to develop and maintain a pool of candidates should additional part-time openings arise.
|About the School/Program:
||The School of Engineering became the ninth school at Quinnipiac University on July 1, 2016. The school offers degrees in civil, industrial, mechanical and software engineering, and computer science. Housed in the newly renovated Center for Communications and Engineering, the school features newly constructed and outfitted laboratories and classrooms. Dedicated to providing a first-rate engineering learning experience for our students, the school focuses on high-quality instruction, and offers hands-on training, applied learning opportunities and meaningful student-faculty relationships.

The current openings are in day and early evening on-ground sections for the following courses (academic catalog: for ME https://catalog.qu.edu/courses-undergraduate/mer/ for CS https://catalog.qu.edu/courses-undergraduate/csc/). The instructor will need to coordinate activities, assignments, and grading with the lead faculty member as appropriate.
- 1 section of Fluid Mechanics (MER 310)
- 1 section of Mechanics of Materials (MER 220)
- 4 sections of Mechanics of Materials lab (MER 220L)
- 2 sections of Engineering Materials lecture (MER 230)
- 2 sections of Engineering Materials lab (MER 230L)
- 1 or 2 sections of Introduction to Programming for Engineers, with MATLAB as the working language (CSC 106)
||A minimum of a Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred, although consideration will be given to excellent candidates who possess practical experience or professional licensure.
- Teaching experience at the university level is preferred
