| Responsibilities: |
- Serves as the Dean’s key communicator and representative with many audiences, including law school faculty and students, personnel in other units within the university, and outside individuals, institutions, and vendors.
- Administrative Support: Manage the Dean’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements to ensure optimal use of time and resources.
- Communication & Liaison: Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders; draft, proofread, and edit correspondence and reports on behalf of the Dean.
- Proofreading & Accuracy: Review and edit the Dean’s written materials for grammatical and factual accuracy.
- Office Activities: Oversee office operations, including supply inventory management, space scheduling, and implementation of efficient administrative systems.
- Reception & Visitor Support: Welcome visitors, answer and screen telephone calls, assess nature of business, and provide information or assistance as needed.
- Information Resource: Serve as an important source of information to students, staff, and faculty on policies, procedures, programs, and office activities.
- Event Coordination & Planning: Support planning and logistics for law school events, symposia, and conferences.
- Space Allocation & Scheduling: Manage and schedule requests via EMS for use of law school spaces, including ceremonial courtroom, pond view lounge, and other Dean’s dedicated areas.
- Budget & Financial Tracking: Assist with monitoring budgets, reconciling expenditures, and processing requisitions.
- Confidentiality & Compliance: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure adherence to university policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Some evening and weekend work required.

- High School Diploma or GED required

- High-level administrative experience including advanced computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
