Quinnipiac University's School of Education invites applications for a full-time, 9.5 month teaching faculty position in the Master of Arts in Teaching program and the Social & Emotional Learning and School Climate Certificate program.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching both online and on ground courses in a broad range of areas: curriculum & instruction, research, classroom management, social & emotional learning
  • Candidate advising
  • Curriculum and program development
  • Accreditation support
  • Leadership to the School of Education on issues related to School Climate, Social & Emotional Learning
  • Coordination of the SEL & School Climate certificate program

Education Requirements:

  • Preference will be afforded to applicants who have completed their doctorate, though ABDs will also be considered
  • Particular preference will be given to candidates who hold expertise in Social and Emotional Learning and Climate, either in degrees or research

Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of successful K-12 teaching experience
  • A demonstrated commitment to social justice and multicultural education
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Participation in service to the school of education and the university
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
