Quinnipiac University's School of Nursing invites applications for two full-time Tenure Track Faculty.  In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to share your expertise and teach across graduate and undergraduate programs. Faculty serve as student advisors and engage in service to the school, the university, and to the profession. The faculty candidate will possess or have the potential for a scholarly agenda. Comprehensive support is available for faculty development, research and grants.

About the School:

The School of Nursing serves 1,000 graduate and undergraduate students. Faculty and staff work with colleagues in our Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences to create innovative interprofessional experiences that prepare students for the 21st century’s health care challenges. The Center encompasses 325,000 square feet designed for collaborative learning including 48 pro-section stations, 16 standardized patient rooms, an exceptional health sciences library, 7 high-fidelity simulation rooms including 2 ORs and a PACU, health assessment labs, advanced diagnostic imaging equipment and classrooms outfitted with the latest technology. As one of just 13 nursing schools in the nation to be holistically endorsed, we emphasize the psycho-social and spiritual aspects of care, as well as the physical. We offer traditional, accelerated, and RN-to-BSN programs at the baccalaureate level. At the graduate level, our Master’s in Nursing (MSN) program prepares graduate level students to become adult-gerontology and family nurse practitioners. An online master’s program prepares graduate for careers in mid-level management, with courses in informatics, education, and quality improvement. Our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program prepares baccalaureate graduates to be nurse anesthetists.  Post-master’s DNP online options are specifically designed for preparation for care of populations and for nurse leaders. Education Requirements:

  • Earned doctorate in nursing OR a master's degree in nursing with a doctorate in a related field
  • Significant progress towards a relevant doctorate will be considered


  • • Certification as a nurse practitioner or in a relevant specialty
  • • Current clinical practice experience
  • • Evidence of effective teaching in higher education
  • • Demonstrated service to the profession or community
  • • Potential for creative and scholarly work
  • • Commitment to inclusive excellence within the academic community
