Overview:

Quinnipiac University's invites applications for an Assistant Coach for Field Hockey. As the assistant coach you will lead in administering all phases of field hocky and team management with an emphasis on player development, recruiting coordination player film and scout review, midfield and attacking specific expertise, and team fueling and travel management.

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA, and Conference rules and regulations.
  • Spearhead the team’s recruiting vision. This includes organization of unofficial and official visits, recruiting correspondence, and evaluation of prospective student-athletes. Travel for recruiting assigned by Head Coach.
  • Assist with player and team development to include player individual coached sessions, player video review, practice and game development, pre-game and post-game break down, scouting for opponents and tactical adjustments with the greatest emphasis placed on forward and midfield development.
  • Work in conjunction with the Head Coach in daily practice planning with an emphasis on pressing formations, attacking 25 situations, attack penalty corners, and goal scoring techniques.
  • Oversee team’s fueling and travel needs.
  • Supervise CARA/RARA in tandem with Head Coach.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of elite level field hockey experience
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Experience using GoogleDrive, DropBox and most social media platforms.
  • Adept knowledge of uploading and downloading film for exchange, scouting and team viewing. With of Sportcode, Gamebreaker Plus, Hudl, and Spiideo video software
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
