Overview: |
Quinnipiac University's School of Nursing invites applications for a Clinical Compliance Coordinator to coordinate and maintain graduate and undergraduate student and faculty clinical compliance in addition to managing clinical readiness and educational databases. The coordinator supports overall processes around clinical agency relationships including clinical practice agreements and student placements and ensures compliance with all state, regulatory, clinical agency specific, and accreditation standards regarding clinical readiness requirements. This position reports to the Assistant Dean for Clinical Education. |
About the School: |
The School of Nursing serves 1,100 graduate and undergraduate students. Faculty and staff work with colleagues in our Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences to create innovative interprofessional educational experiences that prepare students for today's healthcare challenges. The Center encompasses 325,000 square feet designed for collaborative learning including 48 pro-section stations, 16 standardized patient rooms, an exceptional health sciences library, 7 high-fidelity simulation rooms including 2 ORs and a PACU, health assessment labs, advanced diagnostic imaging equipment and classrooms outfitted with the latest technology. As one of a few schools in the nation to be holistically endorsed, we emphasize the psycho-social and spiritual aspects of care, as well as the physical. We offer 4-year traditional and accelerated at the baccalaureate level. At the graduate level, our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program prepares baccalaureate graduates prepares master’s prepared graduates to be experts in either Care of Populations or Leadership. Our nurse practitioner programs prepare baccalaureate nurses for the master’s degree and certification in either adult-gerontology primary care, adult gerontology acute care, psychiatric mental health, or family nurse practitioner. Responsibilities: |
- Manage several web-based educational and clinical software programs
- Create and maintain electronic files and databases each semester, including of active preceptor and part-time faculty information
- Collaborate with clinical placement coordinators, program directors, and the Assistant Dean to ensure smooth clinical compliance placement processes for students, including:
- Building, managing, and maintaining clinical site and student clinical readiness databases; notifications of non-compliance
- Managing and tracking clinical placement requirements for all programs
- Maintaining and verifying accurate and comprehensive records in various areas, including student inquiries, clinical placement requirements, student rosters and site information, acknowledgement/attestation letters for clinical agencies
- Participate in undergraduate sophomore nursing orientation to present pertinent information on student clinical compliance; communicate electronically the requirements to sophomore class
- Participate in graduate preclinical and orientation meetings in coordination and collaboration with clinical placement coordinator and program directors
- Manage clinical affiliation agreement processes (contract) for all nursing programs in collaboration with the Assistant Dean
- Assist with clinical faculty orientation for new and returning faculty each semester in collaboration with program directors and Assistant Dean
- Collaborate with the dean’s office in facilitating general operations
- Participate in school and university recruitment events
- Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements: |
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience may substitute for some of the above education requirements
|
Qualifications: |
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Ability to build and manage complex databases. Strong database skills and ability to work effectively in various health tracking systems
- Demonstrate ability to navigate various web-based educational and compliance software
- Prior higher ed experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills including writing and speaking
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at a time and keep to deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications
- Ability to adhere to confidentiality, privacy, and security requirements, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to self-organize within established priorities
- Demonstrated ability to help students and faculty in understanding and completing compliance requirements
