The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a 12-month, in-person, tenure-track faculty in Microbiology and Immunology with a preferred expertise in virology, mycology, clinical microbiology, or the microbiome. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate or graduate immunology, virology, mycology, clinical microbiology, and/or advanced courses in their area of specialty; develop and maintain a productive research agenda and program involving undergraduate and graduate students; perform academic advising to undergraduate students in the Biomedical Sciences program; and committee services to department, school, and university. This position is expected to start on July 1, 2025.

The School of Health Sciences is home to approximately 100 fulltime faculty and professional staff and enrolls over 2120 students across over 20 graduate and undergraduate academic offerings. The school is organized into 8 departments offering undergraduate majors in biomedical sciences, health sciences, radiologic sciences, medical microbiology & Immunology and diagnostic medical sonography and graduate majors in physician assistant studies, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, biomedical sciences, pathologists’ assistant and cardiovascular perfusion. Responsibilities:

Teach a variety of immunology, virology, and microbiology undergraduate and graduate lecture and laboratory courses based on his/her/their expertise

Establish and implement a successful research agenda; engage and mentor undergraduate and graduate students research projects

Education Requirements:
|
- Ph.D. or equivalent research terminal degree in virology, immunology, microbiology or a closely related field from accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
