Overview:

The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a clinical faculty position beginning May 2022. We are seeking applicants who can teach broadly across the curriculum to pre-medical and research students at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Successful candidates will be expected to teach a blend of courses related to the basic sciences and clinical medicine, including human anatomy. The Department is also interested in individuals who can help to expand experiential learning opportunities for students. Additional responsibilities include academic advising to undergraduate/graduate students in the Biomedical Sciences programs and service to the University.

This is a full-time, 12-month clinical faculty position. This position is based in the School of Health Sciences.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses related to human physiology/anatomy and clinical medicine at both the undergraduate & graduate level
  • Advise students interested in the health professions and research
  • Participate in University Service
  • Engage students in experiential learning (research and/or community engagement)

Education Requirements:

  • Terminal degree in a health professions discipline, or PhD in the biological, clinical or health sciences  

Qualifications:

  • Evidence of effective teaching
  • Experience with advising/mentoring students interested in the health professions and research
  • History of engaging students in experiential learning
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
