The School of Computing & Engineering at Quinnipiac University is distinguished by its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and student success. We are seeking candidates who share this passion to join the faculty as a Visiting Professor of Civil or Mechanical Engineering starting early Fall 2026.

• Teaching courses in several areas and at all levels of Civil Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Guiding and mentoring students
• Engagement in university and community service appropriate to interests

• A PhD in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required before the start of the position

• Preference will be given to applicants with the ability to teach courses in hydrology/hydraulics/water resources and general engineering mechanics courses, such as mechanics of materials and fluid mechanics.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and students
• Knowledge of current trends and practices in the field
• Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
