Overview:

Quinnipiac University is seeking a dynamic and highly organized professional to oversee the daily operations of M&T Bank Arena — a premier venue that serves as the home of Bobcats athletics and a vibrant hub for campus and community events.

As the Assistant Athletic Director, Arena Operations you will oversee game day operations, facility rentals, and the management of the club/intramural usage of the facility. 

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating large-scale events,and facility operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of game-day operations. This includes being the point person for run-of-show during athletic contests and hiring temporary game day employees. Coordinate with marketing team for game day needs.
  • Oversight of the building schedule. Responsible for coordinating the needs of officials, visiting teams and other groups who will be attending or working in the arena
  • Serve as the point person for arena and scoreboard maintenance with ANC Sport Enterprises or appropriate vendor
  • Work with Public Safety, Hamden Police Department and Fire Department as needed for M & T Bank events
  • Collaborate with necessary parties on incident reports at the M & T Bank arena
  • Coordinate with Alumni Affairs & Development on needs for events related to University Club
  • Point person for scheduling of AMR ambulance service for necessary events
  • Supervision of facility rental arrangements
  • Management of club/intermural use of facility
  • Other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related experience in sports management, event management or facilities management
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing live event operations or game-day logistics
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders to achieve necessary goals
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
