Overview:

Quinnipiac University seeks applications for a part-time Assistant Coach for Women's Golf to assist in program management including the coaching, administration, and coordination of a collegiate Women’s Golf program.

The University is a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Hockey League (ECAC), the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and is an NCAA Division I member sponsoring 21 varsity sports.

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA, MAAC Conference, and ECAC Conference rules and regulations
  • Coach student-athletes during team practices as well as home and away contests
  • Assist the Head Coach with daily/weekly/seasonal practice planning
  • Assist in planning team travel
  • Assist the Head Coach with planning events for fundraising and other special functions
  • Other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience may substitute for some of the above education
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of playing or coaching golf at the collegiate-level preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and video editing software
  • Proven leadership ability 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, student-athletes and potential recruits and their families
  • Excellent communication, written and oral skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to NCAA Division I guidelines and regulations
  • Previous experience with TrackMan technology preferred
  • Ability/Availability to participate in continuing education conferences, workshops, or meetings to increase professional skills and knowledge
  • Ability to manage a 3-4 hour practice
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Multiple day travel is required for this position
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
