Quinnipiac University invites applications for an Assistant Equipment Manager to assist the head equipment manager with the day to day operation for our 21 Division 1 athletic programs, across our 2 athletic campuses. As an Assistant Equipment Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our athletic facilities and equipment. Your responsibilities will include managing and maintaining athletic equipment, facilitating efficient equipment distribution, and ensuring proper inventory control. You will collaborate closely with coaches, staff, and student-athletes to address their needs and provide exceptional support.
This position will assist the Associate Athletic Director, Equipment Services with management of our equipment related contracts and will serve as the day-to day equipment contact for one of our Ice Hockey programs, which includes travel to road contests.

Responsibilities: |
- Primary Equipment contact for one of our Ice Hockey programs – includes attending daily practices, home and road games, skate sharpening, equipment ordering and budgeting
- Assist with the ordering process for all 21 Division I programs
- Support uniform distribution, collection, laundering and maintenance
- Help manage laundry services across all 21 programs, including oversight of 20–30 work-study student employees
- Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements: |

Qualifications: |
- Demonstrated knowledge of ice hockey, including familiarity with equipment and game-day operations.
- Proficient in skate sharpening and performing routine tasks associated with ice hockey equipment management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with coaches, student-athletes, and other athletics staff
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook 365 and other similar computer programs
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
