Overview: This role will work with the Associate Dean of Clinical Education and Partnerships to ensure that the Clinical Education Programs including elements of clinical compliance for the School of Health Sciences departments and programs are supported and run efficiently, while also managing the needs of faculty, staff, and students. You will also strategize to improve efficiency and productivity, manage and oversee existing programs for quality assurance and manage the hiring/training of clerical staff and student workers, as well as identifying and implementing best practices/innovations to enhance the school’s presence and competitiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and serve as subject matter expert for several web-based educational and clinical software programs; act as the contact person for vendors and for troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with academic programs’ clinical coordinators/associates, program directors, and chairs to ensure smooth clinical compliance placement processes for students, including:
    • Oversee the management of the clinical site and student clinical readiness databases and notifications of non-compliance;
    • Oversee the management of records for student and faculty compliance issues related to clinical locations;
    •  
    • Oversee the management of clinical placement requirements for all programs;
    • Oversee the maintenance and verification of accurate and comprehensive records in various areas, including student inquiries, clinical placement requirements, student rosters and site information, acknowledgement/attestation letters for clinical agencies;
    •  Oversee the management of correspondence with clinical site personnel and students, as needed
  • Oversee the management of the clinical affiliation agreement/contract processes for all School of Health Science programs in collaboration with academic programs’ clinical coordinators, OGC and Provost, and notify the clinical coordinators of any contractual changes initiated by the agency;
  • Serve as the SHS liaison to the Clinical Education and Compliance Committee formed by School of Health Sciences, School of Nursing, and School of Medicine;
  • Other related duties and support to the Dean’s Office as assigned by the supervisor and/or the Dean.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in clinical education practice or related field 
  • Ability to lead/manage projects
  • Ability to build and manage complex electronic databases. Strong database skills and ability to work effectively and accurately in multiple health tracking systems
  • Ability to navigate multiple web-based educational and compliance software
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment
  • Excellent communication skills including listening, reading, writing, speaking
  • Strong organizational, quantitative literacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at a time with accuracy and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications
  • Experience and skills in data management and organization related to clinical education practice
  •  Ability to adhere to confidentiality, privacy, and security requirements, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrated initiatives and ability to self-organize within established priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Be able to collaborate with colleagues and work positively
  • Support QU and SHS missions, visions, core values, strategic plans, and initiatives
  • Prior administration experience in higher education and/or healthcare settings is preferred
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
