Overview: As part of a successful Admissions office, the Admissions Counselor will participate in all phases of recruitment and admission activities, including: high school visits, college fairs, interviews, Saturday Information Sessions, Open House programs and Admitted Student Days. With responsibilities for a recruitment territory in the northeast, they will plan and execute high school visits, attendance at college nights, regional and national college fairs, receptions for high school and independent counselors. The Admissions Counselor will also manage file review, make admissions decisions, and engage with students and families throughout the application process.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and plan travel utilizing data to make informed travel plans for fall and spring recruitment.
  • Represent the university at both off-site and required university sponsored Admissions events.
  • Present information about Quinnipiac University to prospective students, families, school counselors, and other key influencers.
  • Review first-year applications within recruitment territory and make admissions decisions.
  • Utilize the Slate CRM to manage files and communicate with prospective students.
  • Establish relationships with school counselors and community based organizations.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience may substitute for some of the above education requirements
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in college admissions including serving as a student ambassador
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Enrollment CRMs (preferable Slate)
  • ERP Systems (Preferable Colleague)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Valid Driver's License required
