Quinnipiac University invites applicants for the Associate Director of Field Education position for the newly launched Online Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the School of Health Sciences. Reporting to the Director of Field Education of MSW program, this position is the administrative leader of the field education in the Online MSW Program. This is an on-ground position with the number of remote workdays per week to be negotiable at the final stage of this search.

The School of Health Sciences is home to approximately 100 fulltime faculty and professional staff and enrolls over 2120 students across over 20 graduate and undergraduate academic offerings. The school is organized into 8 departments offering undergraduate majors in biomedical sciences, health sciences, radiologic sciences, medical microbiology & Immunology and diagnostic medical sonography and graduate majors in physician assistant studies, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, biomedical sciences, pathologists’ assistant and cardiovascular perfusion. Responsibilities:
|
- Support QU and its School of Health Sciences missions, visions, core values and strategic plans priorities;
- Promote student academic success.
Online MSW Field Education Program Oversight:
- Co-facilitate the development and implementation of field education experiences for online students;
- Support the Director of Field Education to ensure that Field Education for the Online MSW program remains in compliance with the Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS) of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE);
- Supports the Associate Director of the Online MSW program to ensure that licensure requirements are met for various states within the United States;
- Collaborate with the Director of Field Education and the Associate Director of Online MSW program to maintain online field education seminar course syllabi and to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives and accreditation standards;
- Support the Field Education Coordinators on the field education components of the Online MSW program; provide mentorship and assistance in resolving students’ issues related to their fieldworks, field education sites and/or field instructors.
- Co-represents the Quinnipiac University MSW program’s organizational membership at the New England Consortium of Field Directors;
- Coordinate regular assessment of the Online Field Education Program within the Online MSW Program, Online field education MSW courses, and implicit and explicit curriculum consistent with desired learning and performance outcomes for CSWE accreditation compliance;
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Student Fieldwork Placement Process (Capacity Building and Sustainability)
- Responsible for new fieldwork sites and field instructors' recruitment, onboarding, vetting and regional and national affiliations;
- Support new field placement models development and maintenance to ensure capacity and quality of field instruction and supervision;
- Support the Director of Field Education in online field placement policies, processes, and procedures development and implementation;
- In consultation and collaboration with the MSW program Field Office, develop and facilitate orientation workshops and ongoing instructor support workshops for online MSW students, field instructors, and field liaisons;
- Utilize electronic software applications, such as EXXAT/Prism, Microsoft Office Suite, and Canvas to document and communicate with students, faculty, and field instructors.
Engagement and Communication (Student, Faculty, Partners, Staff)
- Provide consistent and timely support and consultation to site directors, field instructors, and online MSW students regularly and as needed;
- Provide timely and effective communication between field education coordinators, field sites, instructors, field liaisons and students;
- Facilitate online pre-practicum module development to support field readiness of online students;
- Recruit and mentor qualified field instructors, including provision of Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI) training for new online field instructors;
- Update all online Field Education Program documents within learning management system (e.g. Canvas) and field technology platforms;
- Consult with and be available to staff and faculty who serve as field education coordinators and field liaisons;
- Promote the online MSW Program student recruitment events, such open houses and conferences participation.

Education Requirements:
|
- A minimum of earned master’s degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program.

Qualifications:
|

A minimum of five (5) years full-time, post-master’s of social work degree working experience (or equivalent) in program, practice, or academic administration; and
