Responsibilities: |
- Assist in the development and implementation of various marketing and social media campaigns for the Department of Development & Alumni Affairs and its alumni career development program.
- Assist in the creation of compelling and creative content via email, web and digital media.
- Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks.
- Write spotlights highlighting alumni achievements.
- Assist with event planning and execution. Represent the Department of Development & Alumni Affairs at various QU events.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as research, outreach, mailing, creating lists, and creating/running reports.
- Additional job duties, as assigned.

Qualifications: |
- Strong familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
- Experience using web and social media managing tools.
- Strong planning, prioritizing, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to proofread and edit.
- Excellent customer service abilities; willing to represent alumni department at various campus events and engage with alumni, students, faculty/staff.
- Ideal candidate will have completed prior coursework in digital media, marketing, public relations and/or journalism.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience using Canva and/or the Adobe Creative Suite: (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Final Cut).

Hours of Position: |
- 10-15 hours per week
- Hours will typically fall between 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
- Availability to work the weekend of October 17-18, 2025 (Bobcat Weekend) is strongly preferred.
