The Department of Diagnostic Imaging in the School of Health Sciences at Quinnipiac University is seeking a dynamic, student-centered and experienced professional for a 9.5-month Clinical Faculty to begin in August 2025. The successful applicant is expected to teach undergraduate courses in the department. The individual in this position will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of diagnostic imaging professionals. Your responsibilities will include teaching and mentoring, preparing students for clinical practice, and supporting curriculum modifications and/or development. |

| Responsibilities: |
- Support the School of Health Science and University’s vision, mission, core values and work to implement our strategic plans;
- Perform instruction for the Diagnostic Imaging Department, primarily in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program, and instruct hands-on lab skills, in accordance with the academic catalog, course description and objectives
- Develop methods to assess student learning as specified in course objectives and provide feedback to students in a timely manner;
- Clearly communicate expectations related to course description(s), syllabi, the grading system, and course learning objectives, attendance policy etc. to students at the beginning of each course
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students based on student learning outcomes
- Promote effective student learning through assignments and class activities, including the use of a variety of instructional techniques to meet student learning needs, promoting active and independent learning, and promoting higher order thinking
- Demonstrate respect and empathy towards students, acknowledge and accommodate their diverse personal differences and educational needs
- Create a supportive and nurturing learning environment, where students feel safe to learn and seek assistance when needed
- Provide opportunities outside classes for students to get assistance
- Prepare and maintain labs, ensuring proper functioning of instructional equipment, including ordering of supplies and promptly reporting any disfunction to the Program Director in a timely manner
- Monitor student learning progression, report retention and progression issues to the Program Director
- Provide service to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, the Diagnostic Imaging Department, the School of Health Sciences and the University
- Participate in professional development on best practices for teaching excellence; Participate in continuing education activities as required by the profession
- Contribute to the diversity and inclusive excellence of academic community
- Perform additional duties as assigned by department chair and program director, Department of Diagnostic Imaging, and School of Health Sciences.

| Education Requirements: |
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field from accredited institution, AND
- A master’s degree (completed or in progress) from a related field OR acceptance into a master’s program from a related field within six months of hire, with successful completion within two years of program acceptance, from an accredited institution in the United States;
- Certified and in good standing as Registered in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) in Abdomen and Breast;
- Certified and in good standing as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

| Qualifications: |
- Four years related practical work experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography; with a minimum of 2 years of full-time employment;
- Two years of teaching experience in a diagnostic medical sonography program;
- Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques;
- Evidence in the commitment in providing student-centered education and contributing to the diversity and inclusive excellence of the academic community;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent time management and multitasking abilities;
- Committed to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
- Master’s degree from accredited institution in the United States;
- Certified and in good standing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS);
- Certified and in good standing in Musculoskeletal (MSK) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS);
- Certified and in good standing as a Registered Radiographer (R.T.(R)(ARRT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
