Responsibilities: |
- Climbing Wall Attendant
- Ensure participant safety at the climbing wall
- Open and close the climbing wall
- Check in and supervise climbers
- Teach belay courses and conduct belay tests
- Inspect and manage equipment inventory
- Set climbing routes (with approval from the Assistant Director)
- Maintain the climbing wall and facility
- Attend regular Outdoors staff meetings and all-staff training
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Trip Leader
- Plan, lead, and evaluate wilderness-based adventure activities such as backpacking, rock climbing, and paddling
- Lead single-day to multi-day field-based wilderness trips
- Teach and promote Leave No Trace wilderness ethics
- Instruct participants in the use of outdoor equipment
- Manage risk and ensure safety for all adventure programs
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications: |
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Current CPR certification required (training available)
Trip Leader specific qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a group, think critically, problem-solve, and manage risk
- Leadership experience preferred
- Current Wilderness First Aid certification or higher required (training available)
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to complete 12-passenger van training

Hours of Position: |
- Climbing Wall: Afternoons and evenings, with occasional morning shifts
- Trip Leader: Primarily weekends
- Less that 15hrs per week
|
