Responsibilities: |
- Perform word processing duties such as correspondence, contracts, minutes, reports, schedules, rosters, forms, etc. Edit work for accuracy, format, and punctuation.
- Serve as receptionist for the school, receiving visitors, answering phones, distributing messages, and providing information within scope of knowledge and authority. Aid new employees with logistics.
- Assist in school budgeting, purchasing, and faculty receipt processing and reimbursement.
- Coordinate all School of Communications office moves.
- Review incoming mail for appropriate distribution and action.
- Assist department Chairs with all DEC/SEC arrangements.
- Utilize university selected software to retrieve and maintain information. Post announcements on MyQ.
- Document and maintain faculty committee service and admissions event coverage.
- Coordinate online student course evaluations at mid and end of semester.
- Arrange conferences including travel arrangements and meetings as required, notify participants, and arrange for all materials, facilities and support functions.
- Organize and maintain departmental records including syllabi, course descriptions and special topics classes, assuring efficient retrieval.
- Collect school events information and flyers provided by faculty and maintain and distribute school calendar of events.
- Perform additional secretarial duties as assigned.

Education Requirements: |
- High School Diploma or GED required.
|
Qualifications: |
- Administrative Assistant experience including Microsoft Office experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data entry, understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
