The School of Business at Quinnipiac University invites applications for one full-time Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Strategic Management, with an expected start date of Fall 2025. Priority will be given to applicants with backgrounds in international business and strategy. If the need arises, candidates may be called upon to teach in relatively new areas, such as Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Entrepreneurship, International Business, and Strategy (EIBS) Department faculty are expected to teach in both traditional classroom and online modalities, and to incorporate innovative pedagogical approaches into their teaching. This position is part of the School's strategic plan to transform the existing EIBS majors in response to industry trends. You will be involved in research, teaching, and knowledge transfer/impact in the field of EIBS, broadly defined.
The faculty of the EIBS Department have diverse research interests, covering a wide range of topics in management, leadership, international business, strategy, and entrepreneurship. Some faculty members focus on topics such as innovation, creativity, and design thinking, while others study corporate social responsibility; social entrepreneurship; sustainable business practices; sustainable transitions; circular and sharing economies; sustainable business model innovation; innovation and technology systems; responsible research and innovation; social innovation policy and equity and inclusion in innovation policy. Additionally, faculty members are engaged in research related to emerging technologies, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, and their impact on business and society. We welcome applicants with interest and expertise in these areas. Faculty are deeply engaged in their research and with students in the classroom, innovative in their scholarship and pedagogy approaches, and dedicated to the school and university's mission.
The EIBS major and minor programs combine strong academic scholarship and rigorous theoretical and empirical research with immersive, practice-based learning opportunities for students. The faculty of the EIBS Department publish regularly in top journals, including the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Perspectives, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and the Journal of Business Ethics, among many others.

The Quinnipiac University School of Business is a dynamic, student-centric community that includes 1450 undergraduate and 550 graduate students. As a part of its vision for the future, the School of Business is constructing a new building to create an environment to enhance students’ learning and social development while providing faculty state-of-the-art facilities for research, advanced pedagogy, and immersive learning approaches. The school supports excellence in pedagogy and research through a multitude of resources including Behavioral Insights Lab, the Terry Goodwin ’67 Financial Technology Center, and Sales Center. The school also houses two leading centers: the M&T Bank Center for Women and Business and the M&T Bank Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship that provide unique opportunities for collaboration. The School of Business also manages the annual Quinnipiac University Global Asset Manage Education Forum (GAME), the largest student-run investment conference in the world.

The EIBS department offers degree and certificate programs in Entrepreneurship and Innovation as well as International Business. The EIBS Department is also home to the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program. Our programs include a rigorous and rounded academic curriculum complemented by extracurricular and service-learning involvement in the region’s business activity. Our degree programs establish a foundation in sound business practices along with an appreciation and understanding of the arts and sciences. The department provides many opportunities for experiential learning and direct contact with businesses, practitioners and entrepreneurs both within and outside of the classroom.

Responsibilities: |
- Develop and teach high-quality, innovative, and experientially oriented courses both on the ground and online in the various sub-domains of EIBS Department. Prepare and deliver engaging course content and classroom activities. Compile, administer, and grade assignments/ examinations in a timely fashion.
- Conduct and maintain and active research agenda that results high-quality journal publications.
- Contribute active and engaged service to the school and university.
- Provide high quality academic advising and mentorship to students and contribute to the support of school and department level co-curricular activities.
- Contribute to the support of the department’s student recruitment and retention efforts.
- Contribute to the overall supportive culture of the School of Business by participating in workshops, retreats, and other relevant activities.
- Help to build external partnerships that foster internships, job placement, guest speakers, and curricular development.
- Collaborate with other EIBS Department and School of Business faculty in research and teaching, as well as with the Quinnipiac community in general, including in support of the University’s Lifelong Learning Initiatives.

Education Requirements: |
- Ph.D. in management, organizational leadership, international business, strategy, or a closely related field (ABD candidates with a clear completion timeline will be considered) from an AACSB accredited Business School.

- Evidence of research potential (e.g. published papers in high-quality journals, manuscripts under review and/or revise-and-resubmit, presentations in peer-reviewed conferences)
