Job Title: Compliance Graduate Assistant
Department: Compliance, Athletics
Student Employment Type: Clinical/Practical Waiver
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with continued development of QU’s compliance rules education program by helping to produce educational materials for athletics department staff, student-athletes, and outside groups as well as contribute to the monthly compliance newsletter; 
  • Maintain student-athlete files (electronically in compliance software) and ensure that MAAC and NCAA documentation is up to date;
  • Review and approve official and unofficial recruiting visits;
  • Assist with Name, Image, and Likeness monitoring;
  • Review, monitor, and approve playing and practice season submissions;
  • Research waiver and interpretations of NCAA rules;
  • Assist with the athletic scholarship process;
  • Assist with the eligibility process
  • Assist with tracking student development participation
Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative, complete time-sensitive matters, maintain confidential information and multitask under supervision.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook, Acrobat Adobe and Power Point
  • Experience working in an intercollegiate athletics department or as a student-athlete is preferred
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high ethical standards
Hours of Position:
  • Flexible based on class schedule
  • Up to 20 hours per week
