Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics seeks applications for an Assistant Coach - Women's Basketball to assist the Head Coach with program management including coaching, administration, coordination and recruitment of a collegiate Women’s Basketball program. In this role, you will focus on the total development of the basketball student-athlete.

  • Assist the Head Coach in managing and directing the basketball program
  • Assist with team planning, including training, coaching, competing and scheduling
  • Assist in strategic plan for recruiting both domestically and internationally
  • Coordinate year long Bobcat Challenge effort with development, team, alumnae, fans and family
  • Head of DEI monthly team initiatives
  • Maintain adherence and compliance with NCAA rules and regulations and university policies
  • Other duties, as assigned
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Proven aptitude for coaching as illustrated by a strong work ethic, organizational skills, computer skills
  • The ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus, and the national basketball community
  • Ability to manage a 2-3 hour practice
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Previous successful women’s basketball playing and/or coaching experience at the college level
    • Experience in recruiting
    • Experience with the administration and coordination of a collegiate women’s basketball program which focuses on the total development of the basketball student-athlete
