Overview: Quinnipiac University's invites applications for a Manager of Facilities and Events to coordinate institutional events and be responsible for the overall management of the University scheduling software, including the training and support all schedulers. This role will also support and occasionally lead department initiatives across the multi-campus platform. This position includes night and weekend hours.

  • Handle all logistic coordination and troubleshooting for institutional events while ensuring quality and adherence to university policy in regards to operational support
  • Actively maintain high level of interaction with faculty, staff, students, external customers and other campus service providers while streamlining event service processes
  • Departmental liaison to university community for internal events
  • Primary liaison for external organizations hosting events at Quinnipiac, negotiation and management of external contracts, including issues with liability insurance and revenues
  • Generate reports, calendars, KPI’s, and other data functions
  • Supervise and schedule facilities overtime personnel for events
  • Maintain a high level of interaction with members of the University and external community
  • Adhere to event budget, handling of outside vendor contracts, invoices, and billing
  • Support Facilities Operations with on-going initiatives with dashboards and departmental reporting
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience may substitute for some of the above education requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities, events, or hospitality
  • Highly organized with emphasis on facility management, scheduling, coordinating and administering programs, within a higher education facility setting preferred
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, handle high-volume workload, work independently, and meet deadlines under pressure and with accuracy
  • Excellent customer service orientation and people skills with ability to build and foster relationships with diverse constituencies and relate well with others with discretion and diplomacy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including ability to create spreadsheets, manage databases, and generate reports
  • Experience in scheduling in the Event Management System software is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
