Responsibilities: |
- Support student use of FTC resources
- Hold regularly scheduled student hours in the FTC breakout study room to answer student questions (Minimum 10 hours per week)
- Assist students with various finance technology-based questions including, but not limited to: Excel, Bloomberg Market Concepts setup, Bloomberg general usage, Capital IQ and Rotman software setup and usage
- Monitor the FTC center email inbox and respond to issues and queries
- Prepare and host in-person FTC software training sessions for students
- Assist FTC director with managing current student enrollment lists for FTC software
- Produce and/or update other training materials including basic process manuals and/or video demonstrations
- Help improve awareness of the role of the FTC and Grad Assistant resources
- Coordinate with School of Business Career Development team to continue support of alumni-student mentoring for Finance students
- Assist students in FIN 450/FIN 451 in both Fall and Spring Semesters
- Attend and provide in-class support for technology-based questions
- Maintain attendance data for course
- Coordinate invitations to final portfolio presentations
- Attend portfolio presentations as a student representative of the School of Business/FTC
- Act as student representative at specified School of Business events
- Represent and answer questions about FTC with prospective students and families at open house and admissions events
- As needed, represent SB at events such career fairs, guest speakers and other on-campus or virtual events.
- Planned dates are listed below; event schedule will be confirmed at the beginning of each semester
- Demonstrate professionalism and sound judgement while representing the FTC and the School of Business
- Attend weekly GA team meetings and participate in all GA-specific training sessions
- Provide supplemental back-up support for other School of Business GA functions, as assigned (e.g., assist with career fair set up, preparing admissions bags/folders, etc.)
- Graduate assistants will have a primary supervisor within the Dean’s Office and will complete projects with other School of Business staff as assigned.
- Maintain a pre-set work schedule between normal business hours (8am-5pm), with ability to set work schedule around classes at the start of each semester

Qualifications: |
- Enrolled in a minimum of 6 graduate credit hours per semester
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High comfort level working with other students in a mentoring role
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when required
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
- Ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds while exhibiting a positive, caring, and helpful attitude
- Ability to work, prioritize, and maintain focus in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects to ensure proper alignment with workload, communication expectations, balance outside of work hours, and university/SGA policy
- Prior experience with or an interest in finance, business, and/or accounting is preferred

Hours of Position: |
- 20 hours per week; must be available to attend FIN 450/451; flexible schedule between the hours of 8 am-5 pm
- GAME Forum support, as needed - last week of March 2025
- Occasional events outside normal business hours
- GAs will be needed for admissions (or similar) events, typically occurring one Saturday or Sunday per month. Dates will be provided at the beginning of each semester
