Quinnipiac University's School of Education invites applications for a full-time, 9.5 month teaching faculty position in the Master's in Special Education and Special Education Certificate programs to begin August 2020.

  • Teaching primarily online courses in the graduate Special Education programs with particular expertise in Special Education at the elementary and secondary levels, including methods of teaching
  • Candidate advising
  • Curriculum and program development
  • Accreditation support
  • Leadership to the School of Education on issues related to Special Education

Education Requirements:

  • An earned doctorate or ABD in Special Education area


  • 3 or more years of successful public school teaching experience which includes working with students with disabilities

  • Strong professional knowledge of the disability categories including but not limited to more of the disability categories of Special Education such as research, assessment and law

  • A commitment to social justice and equity education

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

  • Desire to provide service to the university and the community

  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Successful online teaching experience
    • Evidence of best practices using technology and research-based strategies for teaching and learning
