Overview:

Quinnipiac University's School of Business invites applications for the position of Full-Time One-Semster Visiting Faculty: Accounting position.  This appointment will be for the Spring 2020 semester.

The Quinnipiac University School of Business offers nine undergraduate majors, four graduate degree programs, a five-year BS/MBA program and an innovative 3+1 accelerated BS/MBA program. The School of Business is AACSB accredited with 1,750 undergraduate students in nine degree programs and 750 graduate students in MBA and MS degree programs. Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses both on-ground and online.
  • Design and deliver learning experiences that engage and motivate student learning.
  • Administer and grade assignments and examinations.
  • Compile assessment data for assurance of learning outcomes and recommend actions to improve learning.

Education Requirements:

  •  Ph.D. in accounting preferred, but masters candidates with CPAs and strong work experience will be considered. ABD candidates will also be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability to provide an excellent learning environment in the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • All areas of accounting expertise will be considered.
  • Candidates must have a record of effective teaching, research, and service commensurate with rank.
  • The strongest candidates will have demonstrated excellence in teaching accounting-related topics at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, on-line and/or on-ground, and possess practical business experience.
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
