The Physical Therapy Department at Quinnipiac University is looking for a dynamic individual to join 18 full-time faculty as well as several part-time clinical experts in developing a new generation of physical therapists as an Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor. This is a full-time, 12-month, visiting professor position beginning in July 1, 2019. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in the entry-level Doctoral of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Neurological, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular and Pulmonary, Integrated Systems/Differential Diagnosis, Physical Therapy Processes is required.

About the School/Program:

The DPT curriculum at Quinnipiac is an integrated hybrid model of foundational sciences and clinical courses designed to educate professionals who are prepared to provide exceptional health care in contemporary society. Physical therapy knowledge and skills are developed through experiential learning both in and out of the classroom. In addition to expert full- and part-time faculty, the department features ideal state of the art facilities, including a 16-camera motion analysis laboratory with mobile capabilities, human performance laboratory, and standardized patient and simulation suites. The department is housed in the center for Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences and actively collaborates with the Center for Interprofessional Healthcare Education, and the Schools of Engineering, Medicine, and Nursing.

Education Requirements:

  • Doctorate (PhD, EdD or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum of a DPT required


  • 3+ years of clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist required
  • Teaching experience in a DPT program preferred
  • Graduated from an CAPTE accredited PT program
  • A current license and/or eligible for licensure by the Connecticut Board of Physical Therapy in the State of Connecticut required
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Neurological, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular and Pulmonary,  Integrated Systems/Differential Diagnosis, Physical Therapy Processes
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
