The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning in July of 2019. We are seeking applicants with expertise in Microbiology, Immunology or Public Health. This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of microbiology and immunology lecture and laboratory courses based on his/her expertise. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop a line of research related to one of the following fields Virology, Immunology or Epidemiology and to mentor both undergraduate and graduate students in the BMS Department. Additional responsibilities included academic advising to undergraduate students in the Biomedical Sciences programs.

  • Teach a variety of microbiology and immunology lecture and laboratory courses based on his/her expertise
  • Establish a successful line of research and engage/mentor undergraduate and graduate students
  • Advise undergraduate and graduate students

Education Requirements:

  • PhD in Microbiology or Immunology or a closely related area required


  • Appropriate post-doctoral experience
  • Teaching at college level preferred
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
